Speed Without Direction
“And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation”. Psa.107:7
In the journey of life, direction holds greater significance than speed. The man with clear direction, regardless of his pace, is destined to reach his intended destination. While speed is important, a directionless journey risks time wasting, effort, and resources on wrong paths and dead ends. Acceleration without clear direction will always lead to an unplanned destination.
Consider the tortoise and the hare. The tortoise is slow but maintains a steady pace and unwavering focus on its goal, ultimately leading to success. On the other hand, the hare’s speed leads to numerous paths, distractions and an unwanted destination.
Direction provides motivation and clarity, helping one stay focused and committed to his goal even in the midst of obstacles. Thus, a person walking slowly but with direction not only will he reach his destination but does so with respect and fulfillment.
