Zinox Technologies, one of Nigeria’s leading technology companies, marked its 23rd anniversary, reaffirming its commitment to advancing digital transformation across Africa.

Founded in 2001 by Leo Stan Ekeh, a visionary entrepreneur recognised as Forbes best of Africa’s leading tech icon, Zinox has been at the forefront of providing advanced technology solutions within Nigeria and beyond.

In a statement released on Sunday, the company highlighted its journey since inception, noting that it was established to fill a critical gap in Nigeria’s ICT sector.

“Zinox was created to offer the nation a digital identity and stands as the first indigenous ICT company to design and manufacture internationally certified computers from Nigeria,” part of the statement read.

Over its two-decade history, Zinox noted that it had achieved several significant milestones, which included becoming the first original equipment manufacturer in Sub-Saharan Africa to receive Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Lab Certification on computing and devices.

The company disclosed that it also spearheaded some of the largest ICT projects on the continent, including extensive e-education, e-health, and campus-wide network deployments.

“Zinox has continued to push the boundaries of technology, becoming the first Microsoft Prime Production Online Automation Partner in Sub-Saharan Africa with the OA Version 3.0 and the first Intel Premium Partner in the region,” the company added, citing these achievements as part of its long-standing dedication to innovation.

Further cementing its leadership in Africa’s ICT space, Zinox said it became the first OEM in West Africa to attain the ISO 9001-2015 certification and to secure a Google Mobile Application Distribution Agreement in West Africa.

Looking ahead, Zinox stated that it remained focused on developing more advanced solutions to meet the growing needs of its customers across Africa.

“We continue to diversify our product lineup with offerings that include alternative power solutions, AI, robotics, fibre optics, and e-voting systems, all aimed at fostering sustainable development across the continent,” Zinox noted.
