Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Griffith University Vice Chancellor’s Academic Achievement Scholarship 2025, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Residency Status
    • Be an Australian Citizen or hold an Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa, OR
    • Be an Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or an international student who is completing or has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia.
  2. Enrollment Status
    • Be commencing university for the first time in Trimester 1, 2025.
    • Have not previously undertaken any tertiary studies (bachelor’s or postgraduate degrees), except for courses completed as part of Year 11–12 programs (e.g., Enhanced Studies Program or Head Start).
  3. University Application
    • Apply to Griffith University through one of the following channels:
      • Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC)
      • Universities Admission Centre (UAC)
      • Direct entry to Griffith University
  4. Academic Achievement
    • Achieve an unadjusted ATAR of 95.45 or above, OR
    • Equivalent scores: OP 3 or above, IB 37 or above.
    • Griffith University may use your Educational Disadvantage Assessment (EDA) score to adjust your ATAR rank where applicable.

Educational Disadvantage Assessment (EDA)

If you apply for this scholarship, your submission will undergo a thorough Educational Disadvantage Assessment based on the following categories:

  • Financial Hardship: Demonstrating limited financial resources.
  • Home Environment and Responsibilities: Addressing challenging family or home circumstances.
  • English Language Difficulty: Experiencing barriers due to language proficiency.
  • Personal Illness and Disability: Coping with health conditions that affect studies.
  • Educational Disruption: Facing interruptions or inconsistencies in education.
  • Remoteness or Relocation: Relocating within Australia or living in remote areas.
