There is a massive genocide of Christians happening, and it seems as though no one is talking about it.

In a video circulating on social media, a Nigerian pastor is calling for international help as the number of Christians persecuted and slaughtered for their faith continues to climb in the nation. Speaking from an actual grave of Christians who were killed for their faith, the pastor makes the reality of what is happening there very clear.

“We are tired to be outside performing burial[s] everyday,” he says, “And they expect us to silence now. It’s an order. Nigerian government came out openly and denied there is no massacre. There is no genocide of Christians in Nigeria, and look at it today.”

NEW: Republican Rep. Riley Moore calls on Secretary of State Marco Rubio to take “immediate action” to address the slaughter of Christians in Nigeria.

“Christians are being persecuted and killed in Nigeria for professing their faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

The pastor pointed out that people of other religious beliefs are not being targeted; only Christians are. He also pleaded for the United Nations and America to intervene and save the lives of the Christians in Nigeria.

“Is there any Muslim here? United Nations, I know you’re watching me. American Senate, you are watching what I’m doing…Special Advisor to Trump: Now, please tell Trump to save our lives in Nigeria. They are killing Christians in Nigeria…”

To combat this, Rep. Riley Moore (WV) is asking Secretary of State Marco Rubio to get involved. In a press release from Moore, it reads that he is asking “…the U.S. Department of State to redesignate Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC) due to the alarming and ongoing persecution of Christians across the country.”

Moore noted in a letter to the Trump administration that Nigeria is now likely “the deadliest place in the world to be a Christian.”

Moore also spoke to Fox News, where he noted that 7,000 Christians in Nigeria had been murdered in 2025.

As believers, we cannot disregard this unspeakable tragedy. The blood of our brothers and sisters cries out to God, and He calls His Church to intercede. Now is the time to rise in prayer—not just for the safety of Christians in Nigeria, but for God’s justice to prevail against the forces of evil seeking to silence His people. Pray for courage for pastors and families walking daily among graves, for wisdom and action from world leaders and for divine protection over every Christian facing persecution.

We must pray fervently, proclaim boldly, and stand unwaveringly for the persecuted body of Christ—because their fight is our fight, and their cry is our call to action.
