The President’s Scholarship at (AUS) American University of Sharjah 2025 is a prestigious opportunity for exceptional students who have completed their secondary education outside the UAE. This fully funded scholarship offers:

  • 100% tuition and lab fees coverage
  • Application fee waiver
  • Monthly stipend throughout the scholarship duration
  • On-campus housing
  • Three round-trip tickets during the study years
  • Comprehensive student medical insurance

Eligibility

This scholarship is available for first-time, first-year students enrolling at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) in the fall semester. Selection criteria emphasize academic excellence and other achievements that highlight students’ talents and contributions. The scholarship is renewable, provided recipients maintain the required academic standards.

Academic Requirements

All applicants must meet the following criteria based on their education system:

English Proficiency

  • IELTS: Minimum score of 7.0
  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 94

British Qualifications

  • 3 A-levels and 5 GCSEs (all A grades)
  • Submit predicted A-level grades with the admission application.

IB Diploma

  • Minimum of 40 points
  • Submit predicted IB Diploma grades with the admission application.

American Curriculum

  • Minimum 98% cumulative GPA for grades 10 and 11
  • 3 AP scores of grade 5, or SAT composite score of 1400, or ACT score of 31
  • Submit predicted AP grades or SAT/ACT score with the admission application.

Other Education Systems

  • Equivalent to 98% cumulative GPA
  • SAT score of 1400

Additional Requirements

Applicants must submit a portfolio that includes:

  1. An essay detailing extracurricular activities, talents, social contributions, and anticipated contributions to AUS.
  2. Evidence of outstanding personal qualities and leadership abilities demonstrated in school or community activities.
  3. Documentation of scientific or literary contributions to the community.
  4. A list of school honors/awards, community service, and extracurricular activities.
  5. A 3–5 minute video explaining why they should be selected for the scholarship.
  6. Two recommendation letters.

Note: The final three years of academic grades, including predicted grades, will be evaluated. Conditional scholarship offers are subject to meeting the predicted grades in the final year. Students failing to meet these requirements will be considered for merit scholarships or financial grants instead.

Application Process

  1. Visit apply.aus.edu to create an account.
  2. Complete the admission application and follow the detailed instructions.

Application Deadline

Third Thursday of April each year.
