In the book of Deuteronomy, Moses gathers the children of Israel for his final sermon before they enter the Promised Land. He urges them to remember the God of Israel, who brought them out of Egypt with a mighty hand. “Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out by His mighty right hand” (Deuteronomy 5:15 NKJV). This command to remember is not just a call to recall past events, but a call to live in constant awareness of God’s presence and blessings. Every breath, every heartbeat, and every sunrise is a gift from God. Let us be thankful and remember His goodness.
