ABUJA, Nigeria — Three suicide bombings killed more than 30 people as relentless persecution of Christians continues in Nigeria.
The news services Christian Daily International and Morning Star News report that three suicide bombings occurred June 29 in Gwoza in Borno state. More than 30 Christians and Muslims were killed in the attacks.
Many others were injured, an official said.
No group has claimed responsibility for the bombings, which happened first at a Muslim wedding and then at a funeral and at a hospital in Gwoza.
Additionally, six Christians and two children were slain June 21, 23 and 26 when assailants attacked the villages of Hwrra, Nkiedonwro and Kparenke in Plateau state. Muslim Fulani herdsmen are suspected in those raids.
According to the news services, Christian leaders believe the Fulani want to confiscate the land of Christians and institute Islam.
