America’s largest companies are increasingly adopting religiously inclusive workplaces, according to the 2024 Corporate Religious Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (REDI) Index from the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation (RFBF).
The REDI report shows that 429 (85.8 per cent) of Fortune 500 companies now include religion in their diversity efforts, up from 202 (40.4 per cent) in 2022. The number of these companies with faith-oriented employee business resource groups (EBRGs) has also increased by 68 per cent, from 37 in 2022 to 62 in 2024.
American Airlines and Accenture are highlighted as the fifth annual REDI Index’s most religiously inclusive global companies.

Other key findings of the report include 94 per cent of companies features religion on their diversity page, up from 92 per cent in 2023.
Ninty-seven per cent sponsor faith and belief employee resource groups, up from 92 per cent and 87 per cent provide chaplains or other spiritual care for employees, up from 80 per cent.
RFBF founder and president Brian Grim said: “They are a role model for best practices of religious inclusion for other companies around the world.”
