Your flesh is always going to desire the things of the flesh. Your spirit craves the things of God. Your soul is the man in the middle; it’s either walking in the fruits of the Spirit or in the flesh. If you abide in God’s Word, you have the power (through the Holy Spirit) to crucify your flesh. It’s not easy, but it can be done by God’s grace and through His strength.
