Highlights
The efforts of the government and partners are ongoing to increase access to health services and reduce the prevalence of epidemic-prone and vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks, while the increasing number of affected people by improvised explosive devices has been a concern of the health sectors in Borno State, though there are ongoing relocations of the IDPs. In addition, over thousands of people fled their homes following the attack on a village in Hong LGA in Adamawa State.
Coordination & Leadership:

An ad hoc joint health sector meeting for IDP relocation anticipatory action was conducted with key partners in attendance.

Development of the IPDs relocation and camp closure anticipatory action plan.

Conduction of the Health Sector Coordination Monitoring exercise.

Inter-agency joint assessment of the humanitarian situation in Hong LGA in Adamawa State.

Workshop on Attacks on Health Care and Surveillance System of Attack for LGA, M&E, and NNGO Personnel.
Preparedness and Response to disease/outbreaks:

Pre-positioning of commodities and supplies, including PPE, IEHK kits, and cholera kits, for cholera response in Borno and Adamawa states.

Enhancement of health sector coordination, supervision, and monitoring of diphtheria, cholera, and yellow fever response activities at the LGA level across BAY States.

Incorporation of SEAH into community engagement activities in collaboration with RCCE in the Bay States.

Eight LGAs benefited from Routine Immunosuppression (RI) intensification, with a focus on zero-dose children, as a response to the measles outbreak in Borno State.

Twenty-one LGAs benefited from the training of health facility surveillance and community surveillance, including contact tracing in Adamawa State.
