In commemorating International Women’s Day 2025, Nimbus Aid Foundation and ALX Nigeria announce a groundbreaking partnership to deliver Artificial Intelligence training to 10,000 women entrepreneurs in Nigeria.
This collaboration answers the call to “accelerate action” by combining Nimbus Aid Foundation’s experience supporting women-led businesses with ALX’s world-class tech education expertise to create new pathways for digital transformation among women entrepreneurs.

The partnership comes at a critical time when women-led SMEs in Nigeria face significant challenges in adopting and implementing new technologies. Despite representing a substantial portion of Nigeria’s small business sector, women entrepreneurs often encounter barriers, including limited access to technological training, resource constraints, and systemic biases in the tech ecosystem.
This collaboration aims to address these challenges and equip women-led enterprises with the resources, skills, and opportunities necessary to thrive in an increasingly digital economy.

Since its inception in 2016, Nimbus Aid Foundation (formerly Nimbus Aid Project) has invested over ₦50 Million in advertising support, benefiting 33 women-led organisations. Its evolution from a corporate initiative to an independent entity marks a deliberate strategy to amplify social impact through expanded partnerships.
“This collaboration aligns perfectly with ALX’s mission to democratise access to world-class tech education. We’re bringing Silicon Valley-level AI education directly to Nigerian women entrepreneurs with a curriculum designed to be practical and immediately applicable to business operations,” said Ruby Igwe, General Manager Nigeria at ALX Africa.
ALX has established itself as one of Africa’s largest tech and entrepreneurship accelerators, enrolling millions of young and mid-career talents across eight key markets. With a robust community of over 100,000 young people across all 36 states and FCT in Nigeria, ALX brings substantial reach and educational infrastructure to the partnership.
The collaboration between the two organisations addresses several critical market needs, including the growing demand for AI literacy among SME owners, cost-effective business optimisation solutions, and the rising importance of digital transformation for business sustainability. It will also drive greater digital adoption, enhance operational efficiency, and unlock sustainable growth opportunities within Nigeria’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The partnership will empower 10,000 women entrepreneurs across Nigeria within its first year by equipping them with essential AI skills to streamline operations, reduce costs, and expand their market reach through digital transformation, fostering greater business efficiency and competitiveness.
