Reverend Ademola Mabawonku of Agodi Baptist Church, Old Ife Road Ibadan has admonished Nigerians to get ready for the movement of God in their lives in 2025
Reverend Mabawonku stated this in a message to usher in year 2025.
Reverend Mabawonku who charged the congregation to acknowledge God in the new year, noted that God has promised to move miraculously which will lead to testimonies in 2025.
The Cleric urged political leaders to serve God wholeheartedly, noting that Nigeria is set to get transformed through them.
Similarly, the Minister in charge of the Gospel Faith Mission, Igbo oloyin Assembly, Pastor Adewale Olugbade has stressed the need for government to urgently address insecurity and fuel crises hampering the country’s progress.
Pastor Olugbade who stated this while delivering new year message emphasized the need for federal government to follow positive economic policy formulation with action.
In a Related Development, Akure, Ondo state capital was agog in the early hours of Wednesday as residents crossed over to the new year, 2025.
The residents who were in joyous mood converged on their various churches in colourful attires to usher in the new year even as fireworks were seen within the church premises and on major streets of the city.
The cross over night kicked off with thanksgiving which dovetailed into prayer sessions for individuals, Ondo state and Nigeria.
At exactly midnight, the shout of happy new year rent the air with everyone singing, dancing and praising god for bringing them into the new year peacefully.
At the St Thomas’s Anglican church isinkan, Akure, the Vicar, the Venerable Thompson Akinboro harped on the need for people to trust God for divine provision while leaders should implement policies that would bring a remarkable turnaround for the nation.
Pastor Oluwole Ojo of Christ’s Love church, Ajipowo, Akure enjoined Nigerians to cultivate the habit of praying fervently for the nation and its leaders saying what Nigeria needed now was prayers and not condemnation.
The clerics were optimistic that Nigeria would experience more positive changes in the 2025.
The cross over service was also held at the Word of Faith Bible Church, Ijoka road Akure, where the presiding Pastor, Femi Ajirotutu advised Nigerians to work hard and seek God ’s guidance in the new year.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria, two residents, Mr Olugbenga ilori and Mrs Bisi Olusola who were elated for crossing into the new year despite many chalenges prayed that it would be a fruitful year for them.
