NCCR Switzerland Automation Fellowship 2025 (Fully Funded) for International Researchers

The NCCR Switzerland Automation Fellowship 2025 is now open for applications, offering a fully funded opportunity for Master’s, PhD, and postdoctoral researchers to engage in groundbreaking research in Switzerland. This prestigious fellowship provides a platform to collaborate with world-class scientists in the fields of automation and control systems. Whether you’re seeking to expand your research, contribute to global collaboration, or enhance your academic career, this fellowship is a chance to make your mark.

  • Host: NCCR Automation, Switzerland

  • Duration: Up to 6 months

  • Application Deadline: June 30, 2025 (17:00 CET)

  • Start Date: January 2026 (earliest)

  • End Date: Latest by July 31, 2026

  • Target Audience: Master’s students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers from outside Switzerland

Research Focus Areas: The NCCR Automation Fellowship focuses on advancing research in the following areas:

  • For PhD and postdoctoral applicants: Continue to receive a salary from their home institution

  • Meet the admission or hosting criteria of the selected NCCR Automation lab or PI

Eligible Nationalities:

This fellowship is open to applicants from all nationalities.

Selection Process:

Applications will be evaluated based on:

  • Academic and research potential

  • The quality and alignment of the proposed project

  • Contribution to international collaboration and interdisciplinarity

  • All applicants will be notified by October 2025.
