The Executive Vice Chairman National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), has said the agency is focused on boosting Nigeria’s economy through technological industrialisation.
Speaking at the 19th edition of ABUCCIMA Abuja International Trade Fair Wednesday in Abuja, Halilu, who wàs represented by the Director of Information of NASENI said the agency tasked with the mandate to carry out Research and Development (R&D), production, reverse engineering and actual manufacturing in the areas of capital goods, machines, spares and equipment, will continue to ensure the country possess home-grown capacities for genuine industrialization and sustainable development.
According to him, it is in line with the renewed hope Agenda of Mr. President.
At the NASENI stand, the agency displayed its diverse range of indigenous innovations, aiming to attract investors for increased commercialization and large-scale production.
According to the EVC, NASENI displayed 11 key technologies and products saying it would create more awareness about the Agency’s brand and increase patronage for the organization.
He added that the 3C’s principle of the ‘Creation, Collaboration, and Commercialization’, of operation would help to showcase some technologies and innovation prowess to the world.
He urged journalists to continue to promote the activities of the agency as it drives Nigeria’s industrial development.
The head of National Engineering Designing Development Institute Nnewi Anambra State Engr. Maduike Jovita, displayed a solar panel and circuit breaker for the purpose of safeguarding goods and properties from fire outbreaks.
According to him, his organization is in talks with several private sector players for proper commercialization.
“Our products have passed the statutory tests and are certified and patented,” he said.
On his part, Mr. Fatai Jaiyeola of NASENI office in Jalingo, Taraba State explained that the Organisation’s rice destoner is the same quality with the one displayed by Chinese investors.
He called on the federal government to encourage indigenous inventions.
Various inventions on display include NASENI Transformer, NASENI CNG Conversion Centre, Utako, Abuja, NASENI Solar CCTV, Automatic ChangeOver Switch, Solar Kit Trainer, Science kits, Rotary Furnace, Digital Road Sign, Animal Feeds, Science Automatic Model, and Solar Kid trainer amongst others.
