FOLLOWING the multitude of challenges facing Nigeria, the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) has reaffirmed its commitment to intercede for the country to restore peace, stability, and prosperity.

The General Overseer Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, made this statement through some of his assistants at a press briefing held at the international headquarters in Yaba, Lagos State, ahead of the church’s 35th anniversary, last Tuesday.

According to the church authority, the anniversary celebration with the theme “Power From On High” will commence from August 16 to 18 at the campground, Prayer City, Ogun State.

The Assistant General Overseer (AGO) for African Countries, Pastor Lawrence Olaseinde, stated, “The anniversary will undoubtedly have significant positive impacts on the nation due to the offering of prayers, including many intercessory prayers.”

“You will see that many things will happen after this event. Speaking of our country, there will be peace and stability, and our economy will be able to develop,” he added.

Speaking about the positive impact of the church in society over the last 35 years, Olaseinde noted that the church had empowered lives with various programmes and provided empowerment opportunities. The church has also equipped youths, women, and men with various skills and supported small-scale businesses.

“We also offer scholarships, particularly to first-class students. We have completed numerous road constructions and provided palliatives to the people, along with other forms of empowerment.”

“Apart from the spiritual impacts the ministry has made in different areas, the vision the Lord gave our leader extends beyond teaching people how to pray and fast. It also encompasses guiding individuals to become responsible citizens, both to themselves and to the world at large,” he emphasised.

The Assistant General Overseer, Ministerial Schools, Pastor Kehinde Adegbolahan, mentioned that preparations for the 35th anniversary are well underway. The church is giving Prayer City a new look and making arrangements to accommodate many participants.

“Dr. Olukoya received the vision for the church from God 35 years ago, and we have witnessed numerous manifestations of God’s power over the past three decades. We believe that this calls for a celebration to show our appreciation to God and to pray for His continued blessings going forward,” he added.

He mentioned that various activities are planned for the anniversary, including an award ceremony, lectures, and music concerts.
