The University of Lincoln, UK, presents a valuable opportunity for African students to pursue postgraduate education through its Africa Scholarship. This scholarship supports talented students across Africa by offering a tuition fee discount for those enrolling in postgraduate taught programmes. Eligible students can apply for entry intakes in September 2024, January 2025, September 2025, and January 2026.

Scholarship Benefits

The Africa Scholarship provides tuition fee discounts of £3,000, £4,000, or £5,000, depending on the intake and the applicant’s academic qualifications. It aims to motivate African students (excluding those from Egypt) to enhance their academic and professional skills by studying in the UK.

Degree Level

The Lincoln University UK Scholarships 2025-2026 are available for students pursuing Postgraduate programs.

Available Subjects

This scholarship applies to all subjects offered at the University of Lincoln for postgraduate study.

Scholarship Amounts for Different Intakes

September 2024 and January 2025 Entry:

  • £3,000 Scholarship: Awarded as a tuition fee discount during the first year of the postgraduate programme for eligible students.

September 2025 and January 2026 Entry:

  • £5,000 Scholarship: Available for students who meet the following criteria:
    • Completed a Bachelor’s degree with at least the equivalent of a 2:1 classification, or
    • Completed a Pre-Master’s degree or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree with a comparable classification, as determined by the University of Lincoln.
  • £4,000 Scholarship: Awarded to students who:
    • Completed a Bachelor’s degree with at least the equivalent of a 2:2 classification, or
    • Completed a Pre-Master’s degree or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree with a comparable classification.

Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is open to students from African countries (excluding Egypt).

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Nationality: Must be nationals of, or hold permanent residence in, any African country (excluding Egypt).
  2. Offer from the University of Lincoln: Applicants must hold either a Conditional or Unconditional Offer for a full-time postgraduate taught programme at the University of Lincoln, starting in the relevant academic year.
  3. Academic Qualifications: For September 2024 and January 2025 intakes, applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification that leads to postgraduate study with a minimum of a 2:1 classification.
  4. Entry Requirements: Specific regional requirements may apply. Applicants are encouraged to visit their country webpage for detailed information on the entry requirements.
