The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed several establishments—including churches, guest houses, and a printing press—across the state for alleged noise pollution violations.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Babatunde Ajayi, LASEPA’s general manager, explained that the action aims to enforce compliance with environmental laws and protect public health.
The sealed establishments include notable locations in Ikeja, Mushin, Gbagada, and Maryland.
Ajayi specified that the facilities involved include Vital Products Limited, A&P Nigeria Limited, Polite Anchorage and Suites, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and Terrag Inn Apartment, among others such as Evening Class Guest House, Celestial Church of God, Charley’s Bar, and 7th Heaven Hotel & Suites.
He noted that these establishments had repeatedly violated environmental regulations despite receiving multiple warnings.

Ajayi urged all businesses to acknowledge their environmental responsibilities and work with the state government to promote a cleaner, more sustainable Lagos.
“In a decisive step towards tackling noise pollution and other environmental violations, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) today sealed off multiple establishments across various parts of Lagos state,” he said. “The General Manager LASEPA, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, emphasised the agency’s zero-tolerance stance on non-compliance with environmental laws. We will not tolerate non-compliance with our regulations.”
