Bandits wey kidnap pipo wey dey worship for Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) for Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State don demand N100 million ransom for each pesin wey dem carry.

Two pipo bin die for dat attack and di bandits pack at least 30 worshippers for di church service for Eruku on Tuesday.

Di secretary of di church, Agbabiaka Michael, confirm to BBC News Pidgin say di gunmen call dem last night (Thursday).

Agbabiaka say “E true say di gunmen don call us around 8:00pm to demand ransom for pipo dem kidnap.”

“Bandits demand say for each pesin wey dem kidnap, we pay 100 million Naira, but we tell dem say we no fit get dat kain money.

Dem say dem go call us dis evening so we fit reach one level on wetin we go give for di release of di pipo wey dem kidnap,” e tok.

E say also say dem don report di mata to di DPO for dia area.

Wen BBC News Pidgin reach out to tok tok pesin for Kwara State Police Command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, she tok say di command never receive any official report about ransom demand.

“We no know about any ransom demand.”

Di attack for di Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) for Oke Isegun, for Ekiti Local Government Are, Kwara State bin hapun during di church evening programme on Tuesday.

Tori bin say di bandits shoot di pastor of di church bifor dem round up di worshippers at gunpoint.

For dia statement, di police bin tok say: “As we search di area, we discover one male victim wey dem shoot die inside di Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun, while we also find anoda victim of fatal gunshot for di bush.

“One local vigilante person also sustain gunshot injury and we rush am immediately go ECWA Hospital, Eruku, for medical treatment.”

Foto and short videos of di attack – wey come from di Church livestream – bin go viral on top social media and e show as di worshippers bin try to hide wen di gunmen enta di church.

Meanwhile, Kwara State Govment don order make schools for four local govment areas close sake of insecurity wey dey rise for some communities.

Dis dey inside one statement wey di Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Kwara State branch release, wey announce di govment decision on Wednesday.

For one circular wey dem issue on Wednesday, NUT Chairman, Yusuf Agboola, tok say schools for Isin, Irepodun, Ifelodun and Ekiti LGAs go shut down.

On di oda hand, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development for Kwara State also release anoda statement on Thursday. Di statement tok say di govment activate proactive security measures for schools, as part of im wider efforts to guarantee a safer environment for schoolchildren.

Di attack on di CAC church hapun about 24 hours afta bandits bin attack one govment girls secondary school for Maga community for Kebbi State, northwest Nigeria, and kidnap 25 school girls from dia school hostel.

Dem kill di Vice Principal and di security pesin for di school bifor dem pack di girls enta bush witout any confrontation from security pipo.

Tori later come out say two of di girls later escape, and by Wednesday morning tori also tok say anoda school girl return home but she get injury.

Meanwhile, more dan 20 of di schoolgirls still dey for di hand of di bandits.
