The Hyundai Motor Group is offering five scholarships for African students at SOAS University of London, designed to foster expertise in sustainable development across the continent. This initiative aims to empower scholars to drive meaningful change and contribute to long-term collaboration between Hyundai Motor Group and Africa’s next generation of changemakers. Scholarship recipients will gain access to networking events, academic activities, and alumni collaboration opportunities. A Junior Internship Program for master’s students will also be available.

Who can Apply for the Hyundai Motor Group Scholarship?
Also, the eligibility criteria include:
- Open to African nationals who are ordinarily resident in Africa.
- Open to international fee-paying applicants only.
- Applicants must be applying for new admissions in the 2025/26 academic year.
- Master’s applicants must hold or expect to hold an international equivalent of a first-class honors degree from a UK university. Applicants with a 2:1 may apply but will not be given preference.
- PhD applicants must hold or expect to hold an international equivalent of a master’s degree with distinction from a UK university. Applicants with a merit may apply but will not be given preference.
- Applicants must apply for admission to SOAS before applying for the scholarship.
- Applicants must meet the English language requirements of their SOAS admission offer.

- Candidates will be assessed based on academic merit.
- Consideration will be given to how the applicant’s field of study aligns with sustainable African transformation and growth.
- The selection panel will review academic results, personal statements, and other relevant information from both the scholarship and admission applications.
- Candidates must secure an unconditional offer of admission before the scholarship panel meets.
