Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Hansen Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold an Australian temporary or permanent protection visa.
- Be currently enrolled in an Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
- Be 16-20 years old at the time of application.
- Have a predicted ATAR of 90+ (or IB equivalent).
- Demonstrate financial hardship (family receiving Centrelink benefits).

Application Process
The Hansen Scholarship 2025 application consists of three stages:
1. Online Application & Academic Reference

- Closes: March 31, 2025
- Submit an application through the SmartyGrants portal.
- Nominate an academic referee (Reference submission deadline: April 11, 2025).
2. On-demand Video Interview
- Conducted in April 2025.
- Shortlisted applicants will receive an invitation for an online video interview.
3. Live Interview with Selection Panel
- Takes place between July – August 2025.
- Finalists will be invited for a face-to-face interview.
