In a strategic business move to accelerate Nigeria’s transition to sustainable renewable energy, a leading global energy company in the Republic of China, GAC Energy Technology Company Ltd has signed a business partnership with Tochil Group to drive Nigeria’s green economy and renewable energy.

The two multi- million dollars companies are set to formalise this strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), for collaboration and accelerated economic development.

GAC Energy Technology Limited and Nigeria’s Tochil Group held the signing ceremony of the agreement in Nansha District of Guangzhou City.

Director of International Business Department of GAC Energy Technology Limited, Xu Wenqiang, and Chairman of Tochil Group, Tochil Nwaneri, attended the ceremony and signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

Tochil Group is a Nigerian conglomerate with businesses in real estate, infrastructure, energy, banking, and other sectors. Under the agreement, Tochil Group will introduce GAC Energy’s advanced products and solutions.

Chairman of Tochil Group, Tochil Nwaneri said: “We will use our own advantages to jointly promote the construction of Nigeria’s new energy infrastructure, the sales, application and operation of solar energy solutions, explore new business cooperation models in the field of new energy resources, and promote the transition of Nigeria to clean energy.”

The business partnership aimed at promoting the adoption of the use of renewable energy and setting up charging stations across the country, will facilitate sustainability of the green economy, while developing the infrastructure and business landscape of Nigeria.

The partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to fostering clean energy solutions and enhance improved rural and urban electrification across the country. The two parties expressed readiness to expand operations beyond Nigeria into other African markets, reflecting a shared vision for continental growth.

This cooperation is the expression of GAC Energy’s active implementation of GAC Group’s “1551” international development strategy and accelerated international energy market development. At present, GAC Energy attaches great importance to the development of overseas markets and will fully utilise its product and technological advantages to support the global green energy and low carbontransition development.

Looking ahead, GAC Energy will continue to welcome partners with an open mind, fully utilise the technological advantages and the advantages of digital operational services laid out across the ecosystem industrial chain, actively expand high-quality energy services, and strive to create value for a beautiful green mobile life.

Both GAC Energy Technology Company Ltd and Tochil Group have expressed willingness to collaborate on clean energy initiatives and innovation-driven development, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainability and national growth.

The MoU business signing ceremony was also witnessed by Mr. Deqiang Gao, General Manager, Asia Region, International Business Department, GAC Group, and Mr. Edward Wang, General Manager—Middle East and Africa Region, International Business Department, GAC Group.
