The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to improving the quality of teaching in Nigerian schools by fostering a conducive learning environment and equipping teachers with the necessary tools to enhance learning outcomes.
Ronke Soyombo, the newly appointed Registrar of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), made this known on Tuesday in Abuja during her official assumption of duty.
Soyombo stated that the TRCN would work closely with key stakeholders to implement technology-driven, student-focused initiatives designed to empower teachers and elevate classroom instruction.
“As part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, we are committed to achieving the highest standards in education by leveraging the potential of tech-savvy teachers,” she said. “TRCN will strategically adopt relevant technologies to boost learning outcomes and ensure teachers are properly trained to manage today’s classrooms effectively.”
She stressed the importance of inclusivity, assuring that the council would engage all teachers in its programmes and activities so that no one is left behind.
In addition, Soyombo revealed plans to partner with teacher unions and teachers’ service boards across the states to further strengthen the teaching profession and build a more robust education system.
