The newly established Federal University of Environment and Technology (FUET), Koroma/Saakpenwa, Ogoni, Rivers State, has announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 academic session admission exercise for suitably qualified candidates.

According to a statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary, Dr. Monday D. Mpigi, the University invites candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to apply for admission into any of its undergraduate programmes across six faculties.

 Application Process

Interested candidates are required to change their institution of choice to FUET through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal via [www.jamb.gov.ng]

The statement, however, cautioned that meeting the minimum UTME score and completing the change of institution process does not automatically guarantee admission, as selection will be based strictly on merit, programme-specific requirements, and performance in the University’s screening exercise.

 Available Faculties and Programmes

The Federal University of Environment and Technology offers a wide range of courses in the following faculties:

Faculty of Agriculture – B.Agric (Agriculture), B.Sc. Fisheries and Aquaculture

Faculty of Allied Health Sciences – B.OT. Occupational Therapy, B.Sc. Public Health and Disaster Management, B.Sc. Environmental Health and Safety, B.HIM. Health Information Management

Faculty of Engineering and Technology – B.Eng. Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Petroleum and Gas Engineering, Environmental Engineering

Faculty of Environmental Sciences – B.Sc. Architecture, Environmental Management and Toxicology, Surveying and Geoinformatics, Quantity Surveying

Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences – B.Sc. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics with Electronics, Geology, Plant Science and Biotechnology

Faculty of Management Technology – B.Sc. Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management

 Admission Requirements

Each programme has specific O’Level, UTME, and Direct Entry requirements as detailed on the University’s website. Generally, candidates must possess five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Candidates with OND, HND, or A-Level qualifications in relevant fields may be considered for Direct Entry admission into 200 level, subject to performance and departmental criteria.

University’s Vision

The Federal University of Environment and Technology was established to promote specialized education in environmental and technological innovation, focusing on sustainable development, research, and community advancement in Nigeria’s Niger Delta region.

Prospective students and the general public are encouraged to visit the University’s official website for comprehensive details on programmes, entry requirements, and the application process.
