In the fast-evolving landscape of digital finance and marketing, few professionals have made significant impact as Adeyemi Olalemi. A product manager and marketing expert with over a decade of experience, Olalemi has consistently driven product innovation, strategic partnerships, and brand growth across various industries. His leadership in digital transformation has reshaped investment products and marketing strategies, particularly in Nigeria’s financial sector.

Currently a STEM-MBA candidate at the University of California, Davis, Olalemi was awarded the Full-Time MBA Merit Scholarship. He previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics Education from the University of Lagos, where he served as the Vice President of the University Press Club and Editor of the Science & Technology Magazine.

Olalemi’s tenure as Head of the Digital Retail Segment at FCMB Asset Management marked a period of significant expansion. He played a pivotal role in the development and growth of digital investment products, increasing digital product assets under management and expanding the retail investor base.

His leadership also facilitated the launch of the company’s first U.S. dollar-denominated digital investment product, surpassing initial growth forecasts.

In addition to product development, Olalemi spearheaded customer engagement initiatives, leveraging data analytics and consumer insights to drive adoption. His strategic collaborations with FinTech platforms expanded the reach of digital investment products, making investment opportunities more accessible to Nigeria’s growing retail investor segment.

Before transitioning to product management, Olalemi led FCMB Asset Management’s digital marketing team, where he developed and executed communication strategies that significantly increased social media engagement. He introduced the company’s first digital loyalty program, securing partnerships with leading lifestyle brands to enhance customer retention and drive retail inflows.

His expertise extends beyond finance. As Operations Manager at Strada Media, he executed large-scale branding campaigns for major clients in banking, telecommunications, and consumer goods, leading to a notable increase in annual revenue.

Earlier in his career, he founded Publivision Concepts, a marketing and branding startup that specialized in experiential events and guerrilla marketing.

His journalistic background also set the foundation for his storytelling approach to marketing. As an editor at Glasshouse Entertainment, he led a 12-member team in producing investigative reports, including a 20-episode series on Boko Haram activities in Northern Nigeria, which significantly increased readership engagement and commentaries, nationwide.

Currently, Olalemi is a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Davis, in the US, where he mentors students in courses on innovation and entrepreneurship. His role extends beyond academia, he recently served as a judge in an agricultural sales pitch competition in California, assessing high school students’ business proposals.

Olalemi’s thought leadership in marketing and technology has earned him global recognition. In 2024, he won the Tech Innovation Award in the Product Marketing category for his contributions to digital product distribution at FCMB Asset Management. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and the American Marketing Association (AMA), where he actively engages in industry conferences and workshops focused on innovation in Africa.
