Over 1,500 persons, including children, have been fed with free food by the Confraternity of Miraculous Infant Jesus, Holy Family Catholic Church Parish, Festac Town, Lagos
According to the President, Cecilia Nonye Ogonnaya, the act was to show love and put smiles on the faces of the masses, as demonstrated in the selflessness, love, and compassionate life of Jesus Christ, which she said the group stands for.
She said to solve myriads of challenges bedevilling the country, there is need for all to imbibe the simple life of Jesus Christ by showing love beyond tribe, religion, and ethnic biases.
Ogonnaya said the confraternity prays and teaches about the infancy of Jesus Christ, his simplicity, perfect obedience, the love of God and neighbours, and prays consistently for the unity of all mankind and conversion of sinners.
She added that every December 25, the group celebrates the birthday of Jesus by feeding people, putting smiles on their faces, and sharing love, no matter the denominations, religion, or tribe they belong to.
