The CQA Masters Scholarship aims to attract and train the next generation of quantum scientists and engineers to enhance the region’s ability to develop and implement current and future quantum technologies. The Catalonia Quantum Academy (CQA) is a collaborative platform under the Quantica Mediterranean Valley of Quantum Science and Technologies. The academy was established to coordinate efforts to harness the region’s internationally recognized expertise and strengthen education, training, and professional development in Quantum Science and Technology (QST).

- Master in Quantum Science and Technologies (UB, UAB UPC)
- Master in Photonics (UPC, UB, UAB)

Who can Apply for the Catalonia Quantum Academy Masters Scholarship 2024?
Interested applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Candidates must be enrolled in an eligible master’s program to accept the scholarship and start their studies in September 2024.
- Candidates are independently responsible for applying for entry into the corresponding master’s program, and for fulfilling any relevant entry requirements, including necessary processes for academic eligibility, student visas, etc.
- Selection of candidates is based on merit and potential, measured in terms of academic records and personal achievements.
- There is no restriction on nationality or citizenship.
- Candidates must have a high working knowledge of English.

Additionally, applicants will be required to submit the following documents:
- The CQA Masters Scholarship will cover matriculation fees for study in the corresponding master’s program for 1 year of study / 60 ECTS.
- This will be formalized by an agreement between the host university such that the matriculation fees will be paid to the university by ICFO on behalf of the CQA.
