The Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria has officially flagged off activities to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the C&S Church.
Speaking at a world press briefing held at Seraphim Land along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Maba, Ogun State, on Monday, the Supreme Head of the Church, His Eminence Prophet (Dr) Solomon Adegboyega Alao, unveiled the calendar of events to mark the historic milestone.
The Secretary-General of the church, Senior Apostle Tayo Ajose, who represented the supreme head, said the theme, ‘Centenary Without Boundaries’, would showcase the strength of the unification church to the world in many facets of life.
Ajose, who was joined by members of the Ecclesiastical Council, comprising leaders of federating churches, added that Seraphs and friends of the church would be engaged more in their localities with programmes that showcase what the Cherubim & Seraphim Church stands for.
While highlighting some activities lined up for the year-long celebration, he said this would include “centenary revivals across all constituent churches all over Nigeria and in the diaspora, seminars and lectures, centenary rallies across states of the country. There will also be novelty football matches and other sporting activities across state capitals in the country.”
He further disclosed that the church also plans courtesy visits to the President, state governors and the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria across the country.
One of the major highlights of the celebration is an event tagged, ‘Walk from Ikare to Ago-Ishofin’.
Ajose described the walk between Ondo to Lagos as significant, indicating the attributes of the founder of the church, Moses Orimolade, when it comes to evangelism.
Elder Ajose revealed that there would also be a pictorial exhibition of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church in history.
“As part of the activities lined up for the centenary anniversary of the church, plans are afoot to host a great Centenary Praise/Prophetic night as well as commissioning of some CSR projects which will go in pari passu with medical outreaches across parts of the country,” he added.
The anniversary activities will culminate on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in what he described as the Grand Finale of the centenary.
