What You’ll Do

As a GPU Driver Engineer Intern, you’ll collaborate with our User Mode driver engineers in London to enhance the Metal GPU drivers that drive high-performance 3D rendering, neural networks, and computational photography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize GPU drivers for Apple Silicon
  • Work with Metal API and Metal Shading Language to improve graphics performance
  • Build graphics debugging tools for accelerated development
  • Apply knowledge of GPU architecture to create innovative driver solutions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Technical Undergraduate or Graduate degree
  • Strong understanding of the graphics pipeline
  • Experience with GPU programming (Metal, DirectX, Vulkan, CUDA, OpenGL, OpenCL, or Direct Compute)
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of real-time graphics algorithms and machine learning
