Program Overview

The AKFC Global Leadership Program brings together a diverse cohort of professionals from across Canada and sectors. Through a blend of online learning, immersive in-person seminars, and optional overseas experiences, participants will:

  • September–October 2025 – Pre-seminar Virtual Sessions

  • November 2–6, 2025 – In-person Seminar in Ottawa

  • December 2025 – May 2026 – Post-seminar Virtual Learning

  • April 2026 – Optional Overseas Learning Experience (To Be Confirmed)

  • June 2026 – Program Completion

What You’ll Learn

Participants will engage in sessions led by global thought leaders and explore:

  • Global geopolitics and the Fourth Industrial Revolution

  • Climate change and sustainable development

  • Gender equality and Indigenous reconciliation in Canada

  • Ethical leadership, pluralism, and social inclusion

  • Poverty reduction and Canada’s development priorities

Learning methods include lectures, case studies, simulations, coaching, and peer-to-peer learning.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

  • Be fluent in English

  • Be available for the in-person seminar in Ottawa (November 2–6, 2025)

  • Commit to attending at least 10 virtual sessions

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to global leadership, equity, and inclusion
