Academic Achievement Bachelor’s Scholarship, University of Phoenix USA

The University of Phoenix is offering the Academic Achievement Bachelor’s Scholarship (Current Students) – March 2025, designed for actively enrolled bachelor’s degree students. A total of 15 scholarships, each valued at up to $2,000, will be awarded. The scholarship will be distributed over 20 courses at a rate of $100 per course.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Residency Requirements:
    • Be a legal U.S. resident, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa that permits educational studies.
    • Individuals with Temporary Protected Status or asylum status, verified through CIS Form G-845, are eligible.
  2. Enrollment & Academic Requirements:
    • Must be actively enrolled in a University of Phoenix bachelor’s degree program.
    • Have completed a minimum of 24 credits at the University of Phoenix.
    • Have at least 18 credits remaining in their program as of the scholarship deadline.
    • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.75 (on a 4.0 scale).
    • Have not had an unapproved attendance break greater than 14 days in the last 365 days, except for an approved leave of absence.
  3. Other Requirements:
    • Must not be a University of Phoenix employee or a family member of an employee.
    • Must submit a complete and signed application with all required documentation before the deadline.
    • Admission application must be started before applying for the scholarship.

Application Process & Deadline

  • Application Opens: March 1, 2025
  • Application Deadline: March 31, 2025 (by 11:59 PM MST)
  • Apply Online: www.phoenix.edu
  • Late applications will not be accepted. No exceptions.

Selection Process

  1. Review & Verification:
    • University of Phoenix will review applicants’ transcripts and student records to verify eligibility.
  2. Scholarship Awards:
    • The 15 students with the highest GPAs will be awarded scholarships.
    • If multiple applicants have the same GPA, the earliest submitted applications will be given priority.
  3. Notification:
    • Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 1, 2025.
    • The decision of the University of Phoenix is final and not subject to review.

Scholarship Award & Distribution

  • The maximum award amount is $2,000.
  • Scholarships will be applied as tuition credits at a rate of $100 per course.
  • The scholarship will remain active until the maximum amount is used or two years (730 days) have passed from the first course start date, or the student graduates—whichever comes first.

Maintenance Requirements

To continue receiving the scholarship, recipients must:

  • Stay enrolled in their bachelor’s program and take program-eligible courses.
  • Pass all courses attempted according to the academic catalog.
  • Maintain continuous enrollment with no unapproved attendance gap greater than 14 days.

Terms & Conditions

  • The scholarship is non-transferable and non-cash; funds will be applied directly to tuition.
  • The University of Phoenix treats this scholarship as non-taxable income, but recipients should consult a tax professional.
  • Scholarship cannot be combined with other University of Phoenix scholarships or tuition promotions.
  • If a recipient drops a course or does not pass, no refund or reallocation of funds will be given.
  • Violations of the Student Code of Conduct or any university policies may result in scholarship termination.

Reasons for Scholarship Termination

The scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:

  • Fails to meet eligibility requirements.
  • Is academically disqualified, suspended, or expelled.
  • Has an unapproved leave of absence for more than 35 days.
  • Completes their bachelor’s degree program.
  • Reaches the $2,000 scholarship limit.
  • Exceeds two years (730 days) from the first course start date.

Important Notes

  • The University of Phoenix reserves the right to modify the scholarship program, including criteria, selection process, deadlines, and terms.
  • Any violations of the scholarship terms will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Scholarship recipients must adhere to the University of Phoenix Student Code of Conduct.
