In life, we often face conflicts and disagreements, even with those we love the most. In this personal experience, I had an argument with my wife—she had her perspective, and I had mine. But I had to preach soon, and I realized that if we continued arguing, it would disrupt my focus. So, I chose to surrender—not because I wanted to, but because I needed tranquility before preaching.
However, the Holy Spirit wanted to be involved, but I initially ignored Him. It was only when I went to the bathroom, alone and quiet, that He spoke to me. He said, “Whatsoever price you pay for peace with your wife is wisdom.”
That moment changed everything. I realized that even though I had the power to stop the argument, my reason for conceding was wrong. The Holy Spirit’s perspective was different—He showed me that true wisdom is choosing peace over pride.
