Eligible Nationalities

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the University of Exeter GREAT Scholarships 2025, applicants must:
- Be a citizen and resident of Bangladesh, Ghana, Nigeria, or Turkey.
- Be classified as an International student for fee purposes.
- Hold an undergraduate degree qualifying them for a postgraduate taught programme at the University of Exeter.
- Demonstrate academic excellence and motivation to study in the UK.
- Show interest in their chosen field through work experience or academic engagement.
- Meet the English language requirements and academic criteria for the selected postgraduate programme.
- Be willing to actively engage in UK Higher Education, including attending lectures, participating in extracurricular activities, and representing UK education.
- Demonstrate potential for future contributions to their home country’s development.
- Maintain contact with the British Council and promote the GREAT Scholarships programme.
Ineligible Programmes
The following courses are NOT eligible for the GREAT Scholarships 2025 at the University of Exeter:
- The Exeter MBA
- MRes Management (Pathway to PhD)
- MRes Economics (Pathway to PhD)
- MSc Island Biodiversity and Conservation
- Clinical Psychology programmes (CEDAR)
- MA International Film Business
- Law programmes (University of Law)
- Postgraduate Certificates and Diplomas
- Degree Apprenticeships
- Fully online or distance learning programmes
Application Process
Follow these steps to apply for the University of Exeter – GREAT Scholarships 2025:
- Apply for an Eligible Master’s Programme
- Ensure you meet the entry requirements for an eligible one-year postgraduate taught (Masters) programme.
- Submit your Master’s programme application via the University of Exeter’s Postgraduate Taught Study pages.
- You must hold an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional) before applying for the scholarship.
- Submit the Scholarship Application
- Once you receive an offer, apply for the scholarship using the dedicated form available on the University of Exeter website.
- Personal Statement Requirement: Submit a 300-word personal statement answering three questions about your interest in the scholarship.
- Deadline: 30 April 2025.
- Selection and Notification
- All applicants will be notified of their scholarship status by June 2025.
- Selected scholars must represent the GREAT Scholarships programme by participating in events and promotional activities with Study UK and the British Council.
