A strategic partnership between Swedish technology provider Telness Tech, VAS2Nets, and Lebara heralds the introduction of a new Mobile Virtual Network Operator in Nigeria. The collaboration merges international expertise with local market knowledge to deliver enhanced telecommunication services to Nigerian consumers.

Lebara brings its established reputation from five European markets to this venture. The company’s proven track record in international telecommunications adds credibility to the Nigerian operation. Telness Tech contributes its automated platform technology, designed to optimize customer experience through streamlined operations.

The technical infrastructure receives additional support from Processcom, which provides essential mobile core infrastructure. VAS2Nets coordinates the international partners while managing local operations. This combination of technical expertise and market understanding positions the venture for successful implementation.

Martina Klingvall, Telness Tech’s CEO and Founder, emphasizes the significance of bringing advanced telecom technology to Nigeria. The expansion follows Telness Tech’s recent entry into the American market, demonstrating the company’s global growth strategy. The partnership leverages Lebara’s brand recognition alongside VAS2Nets’ local expertise.

The multi-year, multi-million-dollar agreement encompasses both prepaid and postpaid mobile services. Future plans include PBX solution development. Telness Tech’s OSS and BSS platforms will manage customer service and operational functions. The initiative represents one of Nigeria’s first new mobile operators in recent years.

VAS2Nets’ Group Executive Director of Business Development, Teniola Stuffman, underscores the project’s commitment to providing affordable, high-quality mobile services. The combination of international expertise and advanced technology aims to elevate Nigerian telecommunications standards.

Lebara’s Director of Partnerships, Daniel Upson, highlights the synergy between partner capabilities. The collaboration unites Lebara’s brand strength, Telness Tech’s technological innovation, and VAS2Nets’ market understanding to enhance mobile communication services for Nigerian consumers.

The partnership demonstrates international confidence in Nigeria’s telecommunications market potential. By combining global experience with local insight, the venture aims to address growing consumer demand for advanced mobile services while contributing to Nigeria’s digital infrastructure development.
