ABUJA, Nigeria — Thirty-four Christians were killed as Muslim Fulani herdsmen raided numerous towns, villages and churches.
Nigeria has led the world in the number of Christians killed for their faith.

The following are recent reports from media sources Christian Daily International and Morning Star News:
— In Kaduna state, three Christians were slain in attacks upon two churches Sept. 15 in Bakinpah-Maro village. Thirty-one were kidnapped. Then on Sept. 19, armed Fulani raided Kurmin-Kare village, killing two more people. On Sept. 29, two Christian brothers were fatally shot on their farm in Bakin Kogi. A Sept. 8 attack upon a clinic in Kallah Afogo village left at least five Christians dead.
— In Plateau state, a Christian farmer was killed with a machete Sept. 26 in Hwrra village. Six other Christians were slain Sept. 15 in Mbar town and two in Kwatas Bargesh village. Six more were gunned down Sept. 3 in Daffo town.
— In Benue state, seven were slain Oct. 1 in Egwuma village.
Nigeria is No. 6 on Open Doors’ 2024 World Watch List of places most difficult to be a Christian.
